Look for the positive. It may be obvious- you won the lottery. You may have to think on it- I will use that constructive feedback this way. It may take time- the promotion you did not get prompted you to search outside your company and find the dream job six months later. It may be a lesson- I know not to do that again in the future. Experiences can either frighten us or enlighten us. The impact is all in how you choose to view it. Next time the shadow starts to make you uneasy look to see where the light is coming from.
