When you fear something you give it power. You give it the ability to affect your decisions and influence your actions. If you run from it, it will chase you. Do not give that person, that place or that potential situation such power. You are in control of your choices. Grab that thing you fear by the collar, look it in the eye and examine it. Why does it intimidate you? What are you afraid of? Is it your sense of security, your feelings, your physical safety? What is the worst thing that could happen? Acknowledge the fear and then let it go. Better yet face it and examine the possibilities. Come up with plans of action for "if" and "when" the worst happens. Take your fears and walk all over them, tamp them down, even grind your heel a bit. In doing so you release yourself to live uninhibited by fear.
