Keep Yourself Guessing

Any idiot can face a crisis- it's day to day living that wears you out. ~Anton Chekhov

Compare yourself in a crisis versus daily life.  In an urgent situation you focus efforts and attention on one action for a short period of time.  One of the good things about crises is that they are usually few and far between.  That leaves the larger challenge of daily life.  You have structure and responsibilities, work and commitments.  Make a point to step outside your daily grind.  Schedule an appointment to check in with yourself and do something for you.  Look up an old friend, take a nap in the middle of the day, try a new hobby.  The most important relationship you will ever have is with yourself, work on it.  Keep yourself guessing.
