A Moment for Yourself

Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time.
~John Lubbock

We are quick to move from one thing to the next.  Sometimes we fill up each second of the day.  Phone calls, the Internet, apps...we have access twenty-four hours a day.  Tasks are now easier and faster yet we take on more and more.  Instead of taking on more, take some time out.  A break is good for body, mind and spirit.  Relax.  Lay in the grass and gaze at the clouds.  Recharge.  Lie back, close your eyes and listen to the sound of the water.  After rest, the muscles are stronger.  When rested, the mind is clearer.  Following rest, the spirit is more free.  To rest is not idle, to take a moment for yourself is not a waste of time.
