The more you let yourself be distracted from where you are going, the more you are the person that you are. It's not so much like getting lost as it is like getting found.
~William Stafford
We strive for balance in our lives and to maintain focus on our goals. Every day we are faced with choices. Amidst the decision making and our feeling in control we come face to face with- distraction. Distractions come in many shapes and sizes. They can be as simple as a cloud in the shape of a pirate ship to grab your attention as you glance out the window. As complex as a big project at work that takes up your free time, eats into your time with family and friends and keeps you from other commitments. Distractions are like reset buttons. They help us to see into ourselves and assess how we handle the unexpected. When the distraction has passed we reevaluate our priorities. Move past the noise. Get lost in the distraction to find yourself.
