The greater part of our happiness depends on our dispositions and not on our circumstances. ~Martha Washington
Life is going to throw things at you. How you react greatly affects the journey and the outcome. You must adjust the approach depending on the situation. Think of yourself in a baseball game. Life is on the pitcher's mound. Life may throw you a fastball, slider or the dreaded curveball. In order to hit the ball you change your footing, how you hold the bat or the timing of your swing. You make external, physical adjustments but inside you are still you. You are a happy positive person because you choose to be, not because of what is happening externally at a given moment. When a negative person or challenging situation comes your way remind yourself that you are you. Circumstances affect your perspective only if you allow them to. Be positive. Focus on the solution. Remember who you are.
